Before joining Latter & Blum in 1986, Schaffer Mickal had 16 years experience in the retail and restaurant business. He has owned and operated restaurants and bars in New Orleans’ Historic French Quarter since 1978, and has been involved in the retail market in the city’s Central Business District and Warehouse District since 1973.
As a commercial real estate professional, Shaffer has capitalized on his extensive experience in French Quarter food and beverage to become the leading expert on French Quarter commercial real estate.
Named Commercial Division Rookie of the Year in 1987, Schaffer received one of two CCIM scholarships awarded that year in Louisiana. He is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club and has won the following awards:
